The 4-Week Regimen

So, for my regimen, I do it on a budget because I do not have the means to spend much money.  So, I keep it simple which has been working for me.

Week 1: Shampoo (2x) with Silk Elements, Deep Condition over night or at least 3 hours with Queen Helen but when I do not have any, I just use the homemade method of mayonnaise (1-2 tablespoons) and eggs (1), Condition with Silk Elements and leave in the hair for at least 5 minutes.  Air drying is the best method and it is the one that I use 9/10 times.  Of course, I make sure my hair is separated into four equal parts so that it does not get tangle.  I would either wear my hair without a wig or cornrow my hair.

Week 2: Braid my hair into cornrows.  This is the best protective style for me for my job in the lab.  I then place a half wig on my hair when I'm going out to work, church, or anywhere.  While in the house I wear my silk scarf or nothing on my head.

Week 3: Rinse the hair out or leave it alone.  This week is a toss up, depending on how I feel.  I do not wash my hair with the shampoo but just rinse it with water which does not strip the hair of its natural oils.  Depending on how I feel, I leave the hair alone and just make sure that it is moisturized.

Week 4: I leave my hair alone or retouch some of my braids depending on the look of my hair.

Note:  I do moisturize my hair 2-3 times per week depending on the need of my hair.  I also make sure not to clog my pores.
