When it comes to hair care many of us are focused on what we put on our heads such as shampoo and conditioner and especially the hair lotion, pomade and etc. While all of that is important, we must remember that hair is dead. This means it is not only what you place on your hair but also what you place in your body. The saying, you are what you eat also implies to having a head full of healthy hair. To help further the quest of healthy eating for healthy hair I have provided a list of foods that have been linked to hair growth.
Almonds, beef, chickpeas, fish is a great source for the essential fatty acids that help promote hair growth. Soy products, spinach, foods with biotin and folic acid help hair grow faster and help to prevent hair loss. Flax seeds are awesome and can be placed in cereals, salads or smoothies and they do not give the food any awkward taste. As always water is needed for healthy skin, nails, and hair overall.
